Teen Jobs

The several ways that a teenager can earn money a cutting lawns, babysitting, and house sitting for their neighbors. They can also do some chores and get an allowance. The last thing a teenager can do to get a job is to get a job or create your own business.

Moneysss

I honestly feel like a monkey wouldn’t make a good pet for people. There was a case when a woman got her face ripped off because she had a monkey as a pet thinking it wouldn’t harm her. That made absolutely no sense because a monkey is a wild animal found in the jungle that swings on trees and throws its waste at the other monkeys and somehow you believe it can be anywhere except for the jungle and the zoo. It sounds absurd, but even domestic animals have their moments so you have to be sure about the pet that you want and a monkey shouldn’t be on your list.

Sandwhich

My sandwich would be a parody of Subway, it would be made out of Meatball Marinara, onions, tomatoes, peppers, some lettuce, salt and pepper with some parmisen cheese on whole-wheat buns. The deluxe sandwich would have grilled chicken breast, but that's extra. I would make it by putting the ingredients together and toasting it.

Pet Doctor

If I was a doctor I would be a veterinarian. I would be a veterinarian because I feel that well rounded experience for me. I could help all of the sick and diseased animals that have loving homes and have been neglected by society. I would have to study a lot of chemistry in order to prescribe the correct type of medicine. The only thing that I wonder about is if this job would pay well or not, but I know it would be a fulfilling job as well as a life experience.

29. Some people believe that students aren’t learning enough in high school. Should school standards be higher? Explain your answer using specific reasons and examples.
I don’t think that standards should be raised for high school students if they already believe that students don’t learn enough with regular standards. In what sense would it make to raise expectations that they said before couldn’t be met. We shouldn’t fawn over a challenge; instead we should rise above the occasion and get through it. Parents also play a part in this case as well. Their thoughts aren’t exactly diabolical, but they shouldn’t try to force their views on their children, accept them for what they are, and try to help them as best they can. For example (When it is time for us to go to college they want to go to their old college and pledge for their sorority or fraternity since they were a legacy there). I know they want what’s best for us, however their views are superficial.
The only examples I can give you for this situation is to look at television and everyday life. So, students have to face three kinds of standards one is educational standards, the standards of family, friends, and others, and the most important your own standards. We can’t transcend into the abyss and live our lives for other people. That doesn’t mean that we should drop everything and become freeloaders. We shouldn’t be left back over things that we could handle with ease if we just get our priorities in order. As the saying goes “You must sacrifice in order to obtain what you desire in your life.” Good things won’t come from oblivion and from wishing for them as well.
The standards in school already ask a lot of high school students as it is. We have standards for every class (even in P.E) and we have standards for our overall behavior. Are these standards for the students or to show how excellent the school is that serves these standards? We try to perform these standards to show that schools can provide the proper teachings for us don’t we not or is it a mixture of that and our own benefit? Will we even use all of the standards that were taught to us in real life anyway? For example (If I want to be a therapist do I need to know the insides of shapes and figures? It would work for me if I want to be an architect or mathematician, but some things aren’t meant for everyone.
The only way I could agree with the idea to raise standards is the idea that people faced with an extreme challenge can adapt to it in time. An example would be someone with no experience going into a sport and conditioning for it. Fortunately, you don’t have to be involved with a sport to know that if something is hard adapt to it and press on. No matter how much pride you have you can always ask someone for help because believe it or not people will be there for you if you have enough faith. So, standards and expectations shouldn’t be raised if we can’t do something, but our work ethic should.

A time when I was brave

A time when I was brave was when I had to rebel against the evil covenant to start a revolution. It was an eventful day for me after I sabotaged a raid. When I went face to face to face to the captain of the brigade I was severely nervous, but I knew in my heart if I didn’t fight back now everything at the point would turn into a dark cloud of misery. It was a day that I could never forget because it was the day where I was brave.

9. Many junior high and high schools around the country now require students to spend a certain number of hours each term doing volunteer work or community service. Some people believe this is an excellent idea that promotes good citizenship and cultivates passion. Others feel that forced volunteerism is not volunteerism at all. How do you feel about the issue? Use specific reasons and examples to supply your position.

Volunteering is volunteering not matter how you want to look at it or discuss it. I personally that everyone should to help better our world, but I’m not trying to sound like an afterschool special. The cliché the chivalry is dead does not have to apply to everyone because believe it or not it is always good to help someone in need of it. As an example (I helped a crippled person onto the bus because they couldn’t get on the ramp properly knowing that I didn’t have to and I wasn’t even riding the bus). I didn’t do it to get something in return I did it because it was right and if I was in trouble I would want someone to help me if I was in need. It can’t be helped that everyone needs help now and then.
For those who feel forced volunteerism isn’t volunteerism at all I get where you’re coming from, but if you feel that way why do you call it volunteerism then? In the end you still have to choose what you want to put your time into, so that is one thing there aren’t forcing you to do. It’s not like they making you volunteer at certain places and if they are shame on them. Besides you can always volunteer with your clique so you can pass the time and get the job done faster. The only things major that you would have to do in that type of situation is keep your priorities in order and don’t pick something that you would loath doing. You basically don’t have to make volunteering a chore that you dread, but something that could give you a great experience.
Let’s think what would happen if you don’t decide to volunteer or do something kind, for one, you wouldn’t graduate unless you try to find some way around it. Another is that people wouldn’t help you since you made no attempt to help them or be kind to them. Next, it could be the fact you could get a higher acceptance rate with colleges since they like the fact that you’re willing to help others and can juggles different types of things. Karma is another to this as well because if you do something good a good thing can happen to you and in this unfair world we need all the good things we can get. It will show you a great work ethic as well. If you think about it volunteering is just like working, but instead of being paid you gain insight, community service, and you can see how lucky you truly are.
Just as a scene from The Great Debaters said (The look at eyes of a child’s stomach swollen from hunger is unbearable). It fills me despair and rage to see other with no home or food and to see people defile places just because they feel like it. We might as well volunteer because it can be harmless to us and good for others and our environment.

Kingdom Hearts

There was a time where I would play video-games for hours o end.me I couldn't beat a There was one game I couldn't beat and it was called Kingdom Hearts 2. For a game with a reaction button, there was a boss that I couldn't beat so I stopped playing it for 2 months or so. One day I was bored so I picked it up and played it some more and I finally beat the boss and the game. It really shows that if you persevere you can do anything you put your mind to.

Creative Writing Essay Prompt 7

37. Most private schools require students to wear uniforms. Should public school students wear uniforms too? Argue for or against school uniforms for public school student's. Use specific reasons and examples to support your position.

There have been various discussions about uniforms for public and private schools and I am not for it for either one of them. This isn’t a typical rant and rave or a false accusation that people don’t like uniforms, but it is a well known fact. Private schools think that if they have students wear uniforms it would give them a different mentality. Unfortunately, they have made a mistake that could be dire. For example, (there are people who pay for private schools and wear uniforms aren’t as spectacular as they may appear). People still get bad grades as well as expelled, so in the end clothes don’t make the student the student makes themselves. Now on the students who absolutely shouldn’t have to be forced to wear uniforms the public school students.
The only thing that private schools and public schools would have in common about uniforms is that they believe uniforms will make students behave, not get distracted, and make their schools and test scores improve. All of these things seem to be thought of with dubious intent. For example, (Inglewood High School doesn’t have a dress code or uniform, yet a lot of smart people go there and maintain the good grades). Another example is my school itself, (We are on the verge of uniforms and we have to wear a certain type of dress, but we still act the same and think the same as before so whatever thesis the people in charge of this dress code and uniform business was completely and utterly wrong). Our dress code was flimsy put together operation because an innocent person would get in tremendous trouble because if it. As an example, (We would always get scolded and we even got our activities taken away just because we don’t dress the way a certain person wants us to dress. It simply is appalling to be told what to wear and for no apparent reason.
Actually I know the reason why, it’s because people have been our principal lies or our students past to the principal and have tried to make a mockery of the school. It probably wasn’t thought how these other schools would know so much as they say “It takes one to know one”. We were always told to rise above what others say, think, and do to us and become that they know and we know we can be. Yet it seems like we have taken a tedious and cowardly approach. With all this talk of we want to suppose to be the best and rise above everything when we get criticized we cave and overreact. That seems to be the message we are given if we wear uniforms. The idea of conforming and to put a halt on our creativity and way of life shouldn’t be on the school’s curriculum.
School is said to have us gain knowledge and learn what challenges face us in the real world is up to ourselves and our family and friends, but it is not up to the school to prepare us for the real world it is up to them to give us knowledge. In the real world we are not required to wear uniforms unless a specific job. That is why they call it school and not job. As a final note I’m not trying to tell people to go to school in skimpy outfits just express yourself in a decent manner. So let students be free to wear what we want, live out their lives the way we want to live it, and give us the knowledge we will need.

Memoir

When I was a child I would always feel bad and not know why I have to go through such hardships. I always feel like I don’t belong anywhere and people don’t understand me. Who are other people to talk about or judge how other people want to express themselves. Especially, when they know they are no better than others. Every day I try to figure out what I can do to be accepted by others. I can’t stand myself when I try to fit it, in, want to be an individual. There was even a time where I thought that it would be better if I just tried to fit in.
Every time I would try the same thing would happen over and over. I would always do the things that I wanted to do. It seemed like I was trying to sabotage myself on purpose. Whether it was involuntary or voluntary is still unknown to me. The fact that I kept repeating my actions again and again is clear. Then, I started to wonder if I could really change the way I am and be accepted.
One night I had a spectacular dream. I was told by a mysterious sage to answer a riddle and I can find the answer to what I’m looking for. The sage told me “What you seek has the characteristics of water, illusion, and shadow.” I figured out the riddle, but when I was about to say the answer I woke up. I still had the answer in my head and I went towards it. I should have guessed that the answer was a mirror. All I could see was me, so I came to a conclusion that if I am the only one that can live my life so I should just be myself.

Creative Writing Essay Prompt 6

22. Carpooling, recycling, and planting trees are all activities that are good for the environment. Write an essay convincing readers to actively participate in one of these activities.

This is really nothing outrageous or unheard of; in fact this topic is the exact opposite. The environment is something that should be taken care of and not exploited. We shouldn’t take what we have for granted. Humans and animals don’t have to do that much just to keep the Earth healthy. Like it or not humans are the main cause for the Earth’s devastation. Look at what we have air pollution, murky water, lack of trees and parks, and last but not least dirty streets. All of which can be easily avoided if we put our resources together and try to make a change.
If you can’t accept the truth for what it is then I have to tell you what the outcome would be if try to eradicate more of our resources with no remorse. First, we would be covered in a cloud of endless smog. Second, our trees would all be cut down with no sprout in sight. Third, our oceans would go from a calm blue to an envious dark shaded green. Fourth, nothing but trash would be on the Earth’s surface. Finally, the Earth that we know now would turn into a place of despair and darkness. This reminds me of the Larux an old tale by Dr. Seuss.
The story that should give you an epiphany on the crisis that Earth could be in if we don’t retract our horrible ways. It told us about a man in search of wealth and power who would do anything in order to achieve what he wants. He chopped down a tree down in order to make furs so that people would buy them and he would become rich. He was told by the Larux( the one who speaks for the trees) to cease and desist immediately, but the man wouldn’t listen. He only had one goal in mind and that was wealth. The man said “Oh there’s plenty of trees to go around” and he kept chopping them down one after another. Then. his family members came and chopped down even more trees to make more fur.
The Larux tried and tried, but nobody would listen to his message or heed his warnings. Soon after the place that was filled with life and cheer became a dark, dreary, and desolate place. In the end the man sees the error of his ways and tells a child to plant the seed and start over. Does this story sound familiar to you if not it will unless we do something about this hazardous treatment to the environment. There are a lot of easy ways to do it we just have to get off our lazy hides and do it? Take the same car with others to your destination it cuts down on smog, traffic, gas, and on oil. Recycling all you have to do is put bottles, cans, and paper in a blue or green bin how hard is that?
Planting a tree all that requires is you putting an acorn in some dirt and pouring water on it in a spot that is rich in sunshine. If you think about it all of these things are simple ways to avoid a major crisis. So why not give a little to make a great change?

Creative Writing Essay Prompt 5

27. For centuries, people have wondered about the possibility of life on other planets in the universe. Do you believe extra terrestrial life exist? Write an essay persuading others to share your point of view.

I have seen this discussed, thought about it, and even discussed this topic myself, yet I haven’t come to a conclusion about extra terrestrials. That fact if aliens are real or just a fabrication of the mind. I believe that aliens do exist. Not the extra terrestrials like in most movies where they do nothing but invade, kill, and probe innocent people. The fact that extra terrestrials have visited Earth in the past has been talked about, but has there been any solid proof. In my opinion rocks and caves don’t seem to be enough. People should also stop over exaggerating about extra terrestrials.
The accusations that people have made about aliens will give you one or two of these three options. First, the scientific fact that extra terrestrials exist and life live on other planets. Second, sheer paranoia that extra terrestrials will come down and cause mass destruction. Last but not least, the fact that extra terrestrials absolutely don’t exist. The only reasonable choice would be the first one. I men come on now if you forget everything that you were told to believe and thought about it you wouldn’t be able to turn your head from the truth.
If people think that extra terrestrials would come down and try to cause massive damage and just leave out of nowhere makes no sort of sense. Why in the world would beings from another planet come over here to cause nothing but harm for no apparent reason? Then again why do people decide to do anything mischievous in the world we call Earth. So for that one let’s believe in extra terrestrials and keep our guard up at all times as well. Another thing isn’t most of these wild accusations made for movie, television, and comic book purposes only. Like people would always tell you whether you like it or not” You shouldn’t believe everything you hear, see, or read”.
The premise that people refuse to believe that there is other life on other planets or in other galaxies is preposterous. It seems like people are just guessing on this topic. I’m not going to generalize everyone with that ides because some people have pondered on this and came up with this conclusion. I suggest that everyone be honest with others and themselves like how many planets have we really investigated. I find it kind of hard to believe that after you search some planets in this universe and find nothing you would quit. We haven’t even been to different universes. What about the super top secret and exclusive Area 51.
If extra terrestrials were nothing but fabrication of someone’s thoughts why does this place even exist? Who would go to all of that trouble to make a place to keep and do study on aliens if they are nonexistent? Now I can’t forced you to believe in extra terrestrials or believe in what I believe, but I’m persuading you to at least take another look at this theory and review the hardcore evidence and not the phony things people try to fool with.

Float

Love floats in the ocean
Covered in a robe of purity
Swimming gracefully like a Dolphin
Breathing Calmly
Love is glass
Hearts and minds can grasp it.

2. Dreams soar through minds
Draped in optimistic views
Looking like if your wildest imagination has come true
Yelling for its desires
Dreams are wishes
All hands on deck to reach your dreams.
3. Stars stream in space
Wearing everyone’s wishes
Like a platinum, gold, or silver diamond
Singing our hopes and dreams
Stars are our guide
Warriors rise up to become a star.

Creative Writing Prompt #3

In order to save money your principal is thinking about cancelling all field trips for the remainder of the school year. Wirte an essay persuading your him or her to allow students to continue attending field trips. Use specific reasons and examples to support your response.
Dear Principal Brown,
I feel that our school should have the right to go on field trips at the end of the year. Since we have the dress code and no activities at school we should have some sort of positive outlook on this. Sure we come to school to learn to learn, but it doesn’t mean that we should be treated like prisoners. To the people that say I am over reacting you have to simply ponder on this for a while. Prisoners are told what to do, wear, speak, and act and so are we. The sad part is even prisoners get to express themselves in some way, so why not have our field trips for the rest of the year?
The other students and I haven’t done anything wrong so why are we being treated like this. We constantly sell and buy loads of things at school, but what is the point if we can’t do anything with all of that money. You’re not the only one to blame because our school has little to no funding. We still can use our resources to raise our own money without excess tax. It would be best because they’re wouldn’t be people taking advantage of us and abusing our funds. It’s as they say (if you raise your own money for something you want no one else can tell you what to spend it on). It seems to be a problem that can easily be solved.
For the people who say that school is just a place to learn do you really believe that or are you just putting up a front. If you truly believed that then you wouldn’t have friends, or a social life. You wouldn’t ask questions and try to go out and eat. Lastly, you wouldn’t care about your school, what you wear, nor do your homework and try to get your community service hours. Unfortunately, you still all or most of things, but you claim you are only go there to learn. You can think about at a different time because we have to do something about these field trips.
Believe it or not most field trips aren’t as expensive as people make them out to be. Some field trips can be free, so the busses won’t be a problem. I’m not just complaining or trying to instigate, but I’m making a valid point as well. You also have to think about the students’ opinion in this sort of matter. People have worked hard semester after semester and we deserve a break once in a blue moon. We are also old enough to have a field trip that is educational, but not give us such limited time and spaces to go to.
We are old enough to know what’s what so you don’t have to sugar code things for us. It would be better for everyone if you tell it to us straight because that is a part of the real world like we are repeatedly told to prepare for. If we work hard I’m sure we can have field trips without going over budget or being bleed dry.
